Chapter1 ( Computer System )

💻 **Lesson 1: Computer Definition**

A **computer** is an electronic device that:
– Receives **input** (like a mouse click or keyboard press),
– Processes that input using internal components (like the CPU),
– And then produces an **output** (like displaying results on the screen).

🔁 The basic cycle of a computer system:

### 📦 Components of a Computer System:
Every computer system is made up of **two main components**:
1. **Hardware** 🧱
The physical parts of the computer you can touch – like the monitor, keyboard, mouse, CPU.

2. **Software** 🧠
The programs and instructions that tell the hardware what to do – like Microsoft Word or the Operating System.

### 🧠 Quick Review:
– A computer follows a clear structure: **Input → Process → Output**
– It can’t do anything useful without both **hardware** and **software** working together.

🖥️ **Lesson 2: Hardware**

**Hardware** is the **physical part** of a computer system.
It includes anything you can **touch** – like the screen, keyboard, or the internal parts of the computer.

### 🔹 There are Two Types of Hardware:

## 1️⃣ **External Hardware**
These are devices that are connected **outside** the computer case and are usually **visible** to the user.

✅ **Examples:**
– Keyboard
– Mouse
– Monitor
– Printer
– Scanner

## 2️⃣ **Internal Hardware**
These are components that are found **inside** the computer case and are **not usually visible**.

✅ **Examples:**
– CPU (Processor)
– RAM (Random Access Memory)
– ROM (Read Only Memory)
– Motherboard
– Graphics Card
– Sound Card
– Internal Hard Drive (HDD or SSD)

### 🧠 Key Term: **Motherboard**
> It is the main circuit board that allows all internal parts of the computer to **communicate** with each other.

### 📌 Summary:
– **Hardware** = the physical body of the computer.
– It can be **internal** (inside the case) or **external** (outside and visible).
